Sony has told Eurogamer that they will send out an email next week to people lucky enough to receive a free copy of Casino Royale on Blu-ray. If you remember, Sony offered a free copy of the latest Bond flick to the first 500,000 who registered onto the PlayStation network on the European launch. The disc will play in 1080p resolution, which is bound to appeal to those among you lucky enough to own high-end HDTV sets. Sony has stated you'll have to wait around forty-five days after the film is released in your territory.

All in all, it's a pretty good move for Sony. Not only does it give some positive PR and get people to register on the PlayStation network, it also gets people hooked on Sony's format. Blu-ray afficionados should check out Gareth's post on importing region-free Blu-ray discs.
