Capcom releasing quartet of downloadable games

Capcom has announced a quartet of games heading to the PlayStation Network, according to Gamespot. It’s a mix of old and new, with Super Street Fighter 2 and the fantastic Super Puzzle Fighter 2 present to give arcade fans a proper nostalgia fix. Rather excitingly, the graphics for Super Street Fighter 2 will be redrawn by Udon (publishers of the Street Fighter comics) in 1080p. New title Rocketman: Axis of Evil looks like a Gauntlet-style multiplayer romp that could be good fun. If anybody can get arcade action right, it’s Capcom. Finally, Talisman, based closely on the Games Workshop game of the same name will also be present. It makes you wonder when we're going to see rival series Mortal Kombat 2 released in Europe.
I think it’s a pretty good lineup, to be honest. The smaller titles look promising, and I quite like a lot of Capcom’s back catalogue. Although I wasn’t that keen on Super Street Fighter 2, Super Puzzle Fighter 2’s a real gem. Capcom has announced that it wants to be a "major player" in downloadable games. I think the company's got a good shot at it. They've had a lot of experience developing for arcades, making games that are instantly, intuitively, playable. That's exactly the experience most PlayStation Network users are looking for.
