Mortal Kombat II brutalising PS3s

MK2.jpgNews has just reached us that Mortal Kombat II is making its way onto the US Playstation store, as reported by CVG. There's no news of a European release yet, but I'd be surprised if it didn't appear relatively soon. The game's debuting stateside on Thursday and will set gamers back $4.99. (That's about £2.45 in straight conversion, or probably about £3.50 to £4.00 if I had to guess at a UK price).

There was a recent charge by Denki games boss Colin Anderson that the Xbox 360’s equivalent service, the Xbox Live Marketplace, was full of “tired old products.” Perhaps so, but the truth is I quite like having the chance to catch up on some retro, over-the-top violence. Hopefully it’ll appear along with Stardust HD in the European stores soon at a reasonable price.
