Japanese prefer handhelds over consoles
Japan has always been a fantatical gaming society, but according to a report on 360 Gamer they've now become hooked on gaming on the move more than anything else.
According to the latest software sales data compiled by Media Create ( for the period from the 21st to the 27th of May), only two console games were present in the top ten (namely Wii Sports and Wii Play), with the remaining eight being the DS and PSP games.
This follows on from our story on low PS3 sales in the country, where the PSP continues to be a big seller; outselling both the PS2 and PS3. Perhaps sales will rise as more interactivity takes place between the hardware, eh?
