Devil May Cry 4 to be "pretty much identical" on PS3, Xbox 360

WE3dante01.jpgIt’s been attack of the multiplatform curse today, with the news that PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Devil May Cry 4 will be “pretty much identical” according to DMC4 producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi. In a video interview with IGN (via Eurogamer), he said that “you may be able to use some the functionality of the PS3 as like a switch, but nothing spectacular.” Sounds a bit like that real-time weapon changing that we’ve heard so much about.

It’s not as bad news as GTA features being limited by a multiplatform release, but in the long run this is going to be a real problem for Sony. If the same game is being released for both the Xbox 360 and the PS3, then what’s the point of shelling out for the more expensive PS3?
