Firmware future a little clearer

sony_ps3_ui.jpgFirmware might not be very exciting or even worth noting to many gamers, however for the big audio and videophiles that really want to get the most out of their PS3, its a different story.

With these guys in mind, we were interested to hear that two of Sony’s software engineers recently spoke to Impress AV Watch about what the future has in store in this field.

In the interview; in addition to clearing up misconceptions about in-game soundtrack support which is already in place, the engineers hint at future firmware updates that will further improve DVD and Blu-ray upscaling, provide Wake On LAN support and much much more.
