Gaming website 1UP has reported that David Jaffe is currently setting up a new studio in Utah with Incognito Entertainment head Scott Campbell. The new studio will be independent of Sony and David Jaffe will no longer internally be part of Sony Computer Entertainment America. This would correlate with a recent posting on his blog, that led many to speculate that he was forming a new studio, as reported by PSPSPS.tv. However, an SCEA spokesperson has stated that "We have made no announcements regarding any change in David Jaffe's relationship with Sony Computer Entertainment."

Jaffe’s had some great successes with Sony and given comments that he’s made in the past, I expect that he’ll continue to work on Sony titles. I hope he keeps on making games for the PSN. Sony’s online service is in need of high-profile developers making exclusive and original titles
