Lost details, trailer, release date hit web

A trailer for the upcoming video adaptation of Lost has gone live, revealing that a release date of “Early 2008” is currently on the cards. The game will give you the opportunity to play as a survivor of Oceanic Flight 815, during which you'll have to "Confront your dark past, seek your redemption, and ultimately find a way home," according to Ubisoft. As you might expect, you'll be able to interact with characters from the show. The smoke monster is also scheduled to make an appearance.

I’ve lost count of the number of mediocre third-person film/tv licenses that we’ve seen over the last decade. They often seem to fall into the trap of relying on overlong cutscenes, celebrity voice talent and graphics. We’ve had a few good ones though: the Buffy games weren’t bad. As far as Lost goes, the opportunity to interact with characters from the show should be a nice perk for fans, but whether it stands up as a good game in its own right remains to be seen.
