Check this out. It's Sony's just-revealed digital TV tuner add-on and personal video recorder device for PlayStation3, called PlayTV.

You plug it into your TV aerial, whack it into your PS3 via USB, then use your SIXAXIS to navigate, record, rewind and generally muck about with digital terrestrial (aka Freeview) telly.

Better still, it'll automatically distribute recorded shows to PSP - even letting you watch TV on PSP live via Wi-Fi - features Sky+ style abilities to record one show while watching another thanks to two "HD Ready" TV tuners, plus you can 'tag' a whole series to record automatically.

PlayTV will be available in the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Spain "early in 2008."
