Japan to get GT5 next summer
Driving fans get those gloves out and get ready to hit the tracks! Head of Polyphonic Digital and creator of the Gran Turismo series Kazunori Yamauchi was recently interviewed by Best Car magazine about Gran Turismo 5 and it was all good news!
The first snippet of information is about the release date of the anticipated racing title, which will be hitting shelves in July 2008 in Japan. Fingers crossed the rest of the world will follow this quickly and the yet to be released GT5 Prologue won't have to tide us over for too long!
Not only did Yamauchi give PS3 owners something to celebrate but he also mentioned the long awaited and almost mythical GT Mobile (we are pretty sure he means the PSP version). He stated that GT Mobile will be published after GT5 is released. So great news for all those PSP owners screaming out some driving simulation whilst on the move!
Yamauchi also gave a little insight into where he would like to take Polyphonic next saying that he wanted to work on an F1 game! I personally would rather see Polyphonic diversify into other areas, imagine Polyphonic make the next Carmageddon that has got to be worth a shot right?!
