Manhunt 2 gets US release date - no news for Europe
Following submission of a modified version of Manhunt 2, the controversy-courting game has a US release date of on October 31st, but no news for Europe yet.
CVG reported Rockstar saying; “It is very good news that Manhunt 2 has now been rated Mature for North America, however, we have no updated information on the BBFC status of the game."
Good news for the yanks, but now we have to twiddle our thumbs while we wait for some European news. What do you guys; our readers reckon though?
We’ve had a natter at PSPSPS.tv Towers and think one of two things could happen. Firstly that the BBFC puts its foot down and refuses to back off, just to make a point. This will mean a huge influx of US imports, so that’ll be good for the dollar anyway (and its needed!).
The other option, which we think is more likely, is that given time to cool down the exact same thing will happen in the UK, and we’ll get a new less gory version with an 18 rating.
Or there's a third, very silly option we giggled about. Maybe they made an agreement to deny it a rating first time round to hype up the game, we chuckled to ourselves…
