No game sharing for Warhawk says Sony

One of the best (and most surprising given Sony’s love of all things DRM) features of the PlayStation Network is the fact that you can share your PSN game purchases with your fellow PS3 owners up to five times. However, with Warhawk looking like a major milestone for both PlayStation Network and the PS3 itself, Sony’s generosity has reached its limit. The game comes with warning that only those logging in with accounts that have purchased the game will be able to play it.

I can actually kind of understand this move; Warhawk is more like a full title than normal PSN offerings and it is also available in Blu-ray form which adds to that image. Plus, if it as good as early reports from the beta tests suggest then it might soon be one of the main titles helping to shift new PS3 consoles and Sony will be wanting to maximise its profits and lure entice people into entering their credit card details after the hardware has been bought.
