Sony has tipped its hat to Warhawk’s dedicated community of Public Beta testers and Public Forum posters by immortalising their names/call-signs/handles on a new promotional poster (shown above). Cast a close eye on the ships’ wings and fuselage and you’ll see the names of ten of lucky (and probably sleep deprived) PS3 gamers.

Warhawk is due to hit Europe on August 28th (although that’s not concrete yet) and will be the first multiplayer only shooter to arrive on the PS3 or other next-gen consoles and the first full sized downloadable title on PSN (a blu-ray boxed version will also be available).

While Warhawk’s beta has been causing a real stir across the pond, I can’t help feel that we’ve had it a little quiet here in Europe. I’m really looking forward to this one – possibly more than I am Heavenly Sword – so I'm surprised there hasn't been more hype.
