Taiwanese version of Railfan debuts

Japan's bullet train is so good that a version has been exported to Taiwan. The Taiwan High Speed Railway (or THRS, if you want the official unpronounceable acronym) became operational in January of this year. They say it's pretty quick.
Railfan, meanwhile -- in case you missed it because you arrived late at the platform, having decided to pick up a newspaper but then ended up rummaging through the magazine shelves for a copy of The Wire, only to find that it's not stocked at this station -- was the first PS3 train driving simulation. It gives the Blu-ray format a kicking to reel many hours of HD footage from train lines in Japan and the US. It's a photorealistic game, in the truest sense of the term.
Put all this together and what have you got? A new release -- Railfan: Taiwan High Speed Railway Edition. (Check Impress Watch for more screens.) This new version of what was a Japan-only release (the original Railfan is well worth importing if you can get it cheap, by the way) is a Taiwan-exclusive, so there. It costs 1,490 of your New Taiwan Dollars, which works out to be about 23 quid, and it's on sale now. In Taiwan.
