PAL PS3 Starter Packs will vary between regions
Pictures on the interweb have implied that Sony is soon to be releasing a new PS3 Starter Pack featuring Heavenly Sword and F1 Championship Edition, but until yesterday the company declined to comment.
The picture suggested that the pack will replace the current included games of Motorstorm and Resistance: Fall of Man but will be sold for the same price of £425.
Sony have now announced that this Pack is official, but currently only for France. This is because the choice of games offered is down to the local Sony team.
"To remove any confusion, the Starter Pack, with an extra controller and two titles is a SCEE wide initiative and has been launched in all of our territories. The choice of which titles to include in the Starter Pack, and the freedom to change the titles is up to the individual markets based on their unique market conditions," a Sony spokesperson told Kotaku.
It has been unclear as to whether these packs will be available for a limited period or will simply be value packs for PS3 purchasers, but from the way Sony is talking, I think we can expect similar packs rolling out in the future as big new Sony titles get released.
