Capcom & Sony teaming up for CG Resident Evil movie

milla-jovovich-resi-movie.jpgIt's called BIOHAZARD: Degeneration and will be out in 2008. They're promising a "brand new storyline" for it - something the Resident Evil universe has desperately needed for about the last 10 years.

On the plus side, making it entirely computer generated should mean it'll be closer to the look and feel of the games. On the down side, this means we won't get to stare longingly at Milla Jovovich's lovely face and body parts for an hour and 45 minutes. Which is the rubbish RE movie series' main saving feature, especially that bit at the end of the first film where you could see EVERYTHING.

We are torn with indecision over this new Jovovich-free direction. Read the official announcement here, then spend a happy hour Googling Milla Jovovich on work time.
