Fresh gameplay shots in Army of Two ‘Recruitment’ trailer

The number of titles packed sardine-tight into this November release calendar has means that I keep forgetting about Army of Two. Fortunately EA is out there pumping out its own army of trailers to make sure we’re all paying attention.

The latest version, entitled ‘Recruitment’ has some more of the usual tongue-in-cheek humour and a fresh bit of gameplay footage which looks fairly promising. Army of Two should be worth keeping an eye out for and it will be interesting to see if EA has finally managed to overcome its PS3 framerate woes and whether a dedicated co-op game will significantly better the now common formula of making a single player game and tacking in a co-op mode later.

Personally, I’m all in favour of co-op in any form no matter if it comes hand in hand with sudden and jarring player warping; Army of Two risks interrupting its single player aspects in favour of a dedicated co-op model and I’m not sure how that’ll pan out. I’m still looking forward to finding out though.
