Sony planning YET ANOTHER PS3 hardware version?!

In another predictably LUNATIC twist of events, the corporate clowns over at Sony have registered yet another PS3 hardware configuration with American standards body FCC. No specific details are mentioned in the listing, so we can only tremble with horror at the thought of spending another three months writing endless updates about leaked specs and random internet guesswork.

It was a similar FCC filing that confirmed the existence of the 40GB model - what delights has Sony got in for us next?

Come on, now, this is getting ridiculous. We're now expecting Sony boss Sir Howard Stringer to leap out and shout "April Fool!" before revealing the REAL PlayStation3 instead of the current mess Sony's created around the world. Enough is enough.

What could this new model be? Something boring like hardware tweaks to support DualShock 3? A 60GB model without backwards compatibility? Surely there have been enough hard drive options already? Or is Sony finally giving us what we want - a red PS3 with nine USB sockets and a 30GB hard drive?
