PlayStation Network cards landing in US soon? Fake account owners rejoice!

It is not an official nod from Sony, but PS3Fanboy reckons that Pre-paid PlayStation cards are coming soon to the US. Well, it has got its mitts on some anyway. It’s a twenty dollar card that, you guessed it, nets you $20 to spend on PSN purchases such as classic PSOne games for your PSP and add-on packs for your PS3 games.

Why should we Europeans care? Because this opens the floodgates for making PSN purchases in the US. Normally, you’d need a US credit card, which is kind of hard to do if your place of residence is, say, Belgium. Not anymore. As soon as these puppies hit the shelves, specifically those of import specialists, that’ll mean a nice swift solution to getting our grubby paws on all the neat stuff that the North American PlayStation Store offers and that the European one seems to piddle about with for BLOODY AGES. Pain, High Velocity Bowling – I’m looking at you.
