It’s not usually the kind of news that disappoints come the hectic Christmas time, but it’s the confirmation of the slipping of the LittleBigPlanet demo that’s dampened my heart a little this festive time of year.

You might remember that many a month ago it was stated by Sony that though LittleBigPlanet wouldn’t be officially released until 2008, we should expect a demo teaser in the “fall” to get us salivating.

But sadly, Ron Eagle, senior manager for PR at SCEA has “officially confirmed,” that there won’t be a demo this year. No reason is given for the slippage, though a full release date of next year is maintained. Though the big tease did profess to playing, and enjoying, 30 of the expected 50 developer made levels.
