Design-a-Warhawk contest – get your paintjobs and insignia in the game

Sony’s PlayStation blog is running a contest to farm some new insignias and Warhawk paintjobs from the community. It's either a shameless cost cutting exercise to generate new content without paying an actual artist or its an ingenious way rewarding Warhawk players for their love and dedication. Successful entrants will have their new content arrive as part of the 1.3 patch and everyone playing will be able to pick from them in their customisation options. You’ll also win a limited edition Warhawk statue from Gentle Giant Studios.

Entry is simple – all you need to do is whip up a 64 x 64, black and white image that doesn’t contain words, infringe copyrights or contain offensive imagery. Or you can download the various Warhawk and/or Nemesis templates, engage in a bit of colouring in via Photoshop or something, and create a snazzy skin for the flying death-dealers.

Alas, the competition is only open to US residents, so the rest of the world should either save their efforts or tap up their distant American relatives for an address to use.
