Gran Turismo 5 Prologue out in the US April 17th - AFTER Europe
With the glorious news that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is set to hit European shores on the 28th of March, Sony have now finally given word as to when US gamers can expect to have their GT thrills. And chances are they won’t be too happy about the date.
17th of April is the date, with the game to be available in stores and via the Playstation Store for a quite pricey $39.99. No discount if you want to download, so seems that us Europeans wont receive any semblance of a discount either. Well, apart from getting to sit in our pants and watch it come through. You wouldn’t wander into town in your pants to pick up a boxed copy. Unless you’re a bit weird anyway.
Apparently as a bonus for picking up a standard boxed copy you’ll receive the kind of bland making of stuff that seem to come with every kind of special edition game ever released. And no doubt it’ll be just as boring, and switched off after the first dull 5 minutes.
So, yeah. GT5 Prologue is finally on its way, and for once a game hits European stores before the US.

^^ I'm guessing that "2PeteShakur" is a pasty white middle class boy from Guildford.......rrrrrispeck!
But I digress. This is a one off. We'll get screwed on everything else, from Patapon (paying more than twice what the Yanks are) to PSN Bowling (they've had it weeks, we've not even got a release date).

haha, Have you asked yourself why Gran Turismo 5 is a little cheaper? Well you guessed it, downloadable content will be packed in the PSN store which requires you to pay more money such as vechiles and tracks. Very smart sony, it seems your strategy is stupid.

Dude WTF? It's cheaper than what? It's not GT5 but GT5 *Prologue*: go away and learn the difference before you come spouting off here.

Oh, and by the way, Sony's strategy is stupid? Adding DLC to games is what gamers have been demanding for the past few years. Motorstormers for a start are loving getting extra content for a year old game.
Sony can't win - they even get slagged off for giving gamers what they've asked for.......
Moron.

So what, you're a tool if you're paying for this DEMO in the first place instead of waiting to get the whole game. You better hope the remaining parts also get sold as DLC, otherwise you'd be paying full price just to get a large part of the game... again.

What's with the RRoD - sorry, X-Box - fanboys in this place?
Demo eh? GT5 Prologue has more features than many FULL games have at 50% more money.....
By the way, the DEMO was available separately from Prologue, as a PSN download in Japan. Nice try morons.
