Just Cause 2 annouced
It was trashy, it was over the top, and it was damn good fun, so it's good news to hear that action packed free-roaming romp Just Cause is to get a sequel, and this time the 360 isn't the only current-gen machine to get it. Again you get to assume the role of the near indestructible Rico Rodriquez, who has again found himself on a violent and explosive island, this time taking the form of a vast 1000 sq km game world set amidst the South East Asian islands of Panau. Here's one of the first public screens for your viewing.

Unsurprisingly there's more weapons, more vehicles and you guessed it; more hollywood style stunts, that will likely involve jumping onto helicopters with grappling hooks and leaping off of mountains onto planes. Publishers Eidos are promising improved weather effects and an advanced driving model, and according to Alex Price, Brand Manager; “The game world is even more incredible in Just Cause 2 and Rico has done a bit of growing up, so expect quite a few new surprises up his sleeves".
Whatever they may be, we wait with baited breath, for, what it must be admitted, is only going live in free roaming epic GTA IV's shadow when it sees its 2008 release.
