THQ bins Stuntman and Juiced, confirms Frontlines PS3 is gone too

The rumours about Frontlines: Fuel of War have been confirmed. THQ has canned the PS3 version of the game on the PS3 for reasons unknown. We’re going to carry on believing that the PS3 was just too unbelievably awesome to handle it, then we’re going to say ‘Frontline –who?’ whenever you bring it up in future. There.

In sadder news THQ, apparently wasn’t done with its freshly sharpened axe. Not just games, but two whole intellectual properties were sheered clean off in its frenzied ‘product quality initiative’. Always a shame to think that a game is gone forever, but I can’t remember Juiced or Stuntman ever having a lot to offer that was new or exciting. On the plus side Juice Games is reportedly at work on two new projects and is still very much a part of THQ.

When Stuntman first launched, I was interested because it was Reflections behind the wheel (excuse the pun) and back then they made awesome driving games. But it wasn’t a series that ever really progressed any further from there. If you have any fondly held Stuntman or Juiced memories though, please do share.

Finally, Destroy All Humans!: Big Willy Unleashed for PS2 is also cancelled. The IP still remains so there’s a possibility that one day there’ll be a PS3 version to cancel too.
