Okay, I'll keep this brief simply because I've no doubt that even ardent GTA IV fans are getting fed up with the sheer volume of GTA related news appearing on this here blog and because this info really isn't anything we didn't know already...

The GTA IV PS3 bundle is now official. It costs £319.99 (RRP, so gun for £300 within a week). It contains GTA IV (no way!), a 40GB PS3 and a single Sixaxis controller. You are forgiven if you feel underwhelmed. You don't get a rumbling DualShock3, nor will you be able to play any former GTA games, unless you go right back to the original PSOne games because this is one of those lame non-BC models.

However, we should be thankful that it does even exist. It's pretty much Sony's only physical acknowledgement that GTA IV is heading to the PS3. Microsoft may have slashed the prices of its Xbox models, but right now it doesn't have anything that compares bundle-wise.

Its success is really in the hands of retailers. Sure, would-be GTA IV buyers are going to be tempted by the extra Xbox 360 content, but retailers stand to profit a lot more from selling hardware and a bundle makes that easier. Could be that they'll have an easier time pushing PS3 consoles as a result.
