Hideo Kojima's son says Metal Gear Solid is "s****y"

MGS4_screen2.jpgWhen you're a young thing, you do usually try and go against the wishes of your parents. If they enjoy a bit of classic rock, you'll adore a bit of "hard house" (whatever that is). Or if they want to keep the planet populated with forests, you'll adore burning them down.

But it seems even talented game developers suffer from this same plight, with Hideo Kojima admitting that his son isn't quite as happy as most of us would be, being the spawn of a man that's enthralled millions around the world.

Speaking of his son to IGN, Kojima said, "he's been with me watching me create the Metal Gear series. But he has always criticized it: 'Oh, Metal Gear is such a s****y game.'"

He goes on to state that he adores Portable Ops, the PSP iteration of the series, but blimey, that's a bit harsh on his old man. If you were the son of the chap behind the later Driver games, or perhaps the creator of Kane & Lynch then you could understand a few disparaging remarks.

Let's see if Kojima Jr grows up to create a little gaming genius like his dad.

"Metal Gear is such a s****y game."

Sweaty? Spiffy? Scanty? Skinny? Scarey? Sugary?

Not sure what we're driving at here...

I quite like thinking that it's "spiffy" in all honesty!
