Hiss-assin's Creed? Snake's Altair costume confirmed

Hideo Kojima must love Ubisoft's love it/hate it stealth-and-murder-em-up. After what seemed like an April Fool's joke which saw a section of Metal Gear Solid 4 with Snake dressed in an Altair-like hooded robe, today Kojima-san confirmed that said clobber will be an unlockable outfit in the game.

We're not entirely sure why Snake's creator is so keen to garb the old fella in a hoodie. Perhaps so he's more 'down wid da kidz', perhaps? Or maybe it's a subtle reference to Snake going quite literally medieval on his enemies' asses?

Rumours that Kojima and Jade Raymond were spotted together in a lip-locking session while perched atop a high branch belonging to a mighty oak have yet to be substantiated.
