Rock Band 2 announced, but Xbox 360 has already snapped up the timed exclusive
We're still waiting for our PS3 versions of Rock Band, but you can forget about it, and its hatred of Britain's PlayStation faithful because... *drum roll*... Diablo 3!!! I mean, ROCK BAND 2!!!
Rock Band 2 is expected to be out in September in North America on the Xbox 360, meaning that we can look forward to unwrapping out own copies at around Xmas, 2015. The game itself isn't going to mess with its very successful formula, but co-founder of Harmonix Alex Rigopulos states that some necessary improvements are being made to the online functionality and to make it more party-friendly.
"As successful as the original Rock Band continues to be, we've now had the benefit of the last eight months to listen to our fans' requests and to build upon that foundation," he said.
For what it's worth, Rock Band 2 hopes to be available on all other platforms by the end of the year. And who knows, now that we've all bought all (or would have, but for the obvious problem) the relevant accessories, maybe we won't have to wait for hell to freeze over before we get a version over here.
