Gran Turismo: Prologue - major update landing today

GTTV.jpg

Prologue is getting its promised overhaul today. The bulk of the update is the arrival of the new Gran Turismo TV. As we already knew, this includes pay-per-view programming from Top Gear, which presumably anyone with Freeview in this country won't be paying for because managing to avoid episodes of Top Gear is actually the main challenge.

You can also download Japan's Best Motoring Magazine, which is "dedicated to the pursuit of the pleasure of driving" apparently; the chances of seeing short men being nearly killed in a rocket car are significantly reduced.

If you are going to be doing any shopping in the GT TV store it would be a good idea to make up you mind now. There's a special discount going on for the first two weeks, where you'll be able to buy everything for less than a dollar. After that the prices start at $1.99. You'll be able to download up to eight episodes simultaneously, and all videos can be fast forwarded, rewound, paused and you can skip between chapters.

The update also ushers in some gameplay enhancements; it fixes penalty judgments, adds more tire choices for Time Trial and improves physics during collisions between cars during online races.
