Activision files trademark for game titled "Dance Hero"

Activisionlogo.jpgActivision Blizzard's recently filed a trademark the title Dance Hero. Of course, this is no guarantee that the game will ever see production, but it means that someone at Activision thinks that it might be a good idea. If such a game did ever see the light of day, I imagine it'd be along the lines of dancing titles like Dance, Dance, Revolution, complete with dancing mat.

While it'd be easy to discount the title as a step too far for the Guitar Hero franchise -especially given Activision Blizzard's recent announcement to release a James Bond title every year- I think it could work. There's definitely a small niche for dancing games and we've not seen any arrive on this generation of consoles yet. Ok, it's not a huge niche, and I doubt that it could reach the levels of mega stardom that Guitar Hero has, but it could definitely work.
