DLC coming to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

tie_trooper1.jpgLucasarts has announced that a slew of DLC is coming out for The Force Unleashed. New costumes will appear for the single-player ca,paign, featuring Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ki-Adi-Mundi, and Kit Fisto. Also planned is an extra single-player campaign level, set in the Jedi Temple at Corsucant. Apparently it'll see the main character learning more about his dad "while searching through the rubble of the destroyed building he must confront his inner demons."

I don't really see the point in the skins, but the new level sounds like a good idea. The primary appeal for Force Unleashed for me was the plot. The levels were a bit bland, rarely offering anything that challenging or new, but the production values and the plot were both superb. The DLC sounds like it plays to the games strengths, fleshing out some of the stuff that was hinted at in the game. I don't know if it's enough of a lure to put up with gameplay that was beginning to feel very old by towards the end of the game, but it's a good idea nonetheless.
