The first direct feed footage of Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion, Namco Bandai's upgraded release of Tekken 6, has just gone up on the official site. Scroll down the bottom of the page to see a vid showcasing new characters Alisa Boskonovish and Lars Alexanderson. This footage is probably from the arcade version of course- there's still no news on when we can expect to see the title appear on PS3.

I think Tekken's hiatus from the PS3 might end up hurting it. Once it was a stalwart of the Sony gaming library, but its prolonged absence this generation hasn't done it any favours. As with Soul Calibur, Bandai Namco didn't change much with each instalment, instead tweaking the gameplay and graphics. While this might appeal to hardcore fans who've been following the series since the beginning, Tekken 6 is going to have to do something a little different to appeal to a crowd of gamers who haven't played the previous instalments. A good beat 'em up it might be, but without change, its status as an integral part of the Sony gaming library might soon be questioned.
