Motorstorm 2 DLC planned

motorstorm.jpgMotorstorm 2's director Nigel Kershaw has stated that we can expect see DLC for Motorstorm 2. Not only that, but a lot of it will be available gratis. "We've got a pile of stuff waiting in the wings and you'll be glad to know, a lot of it is free," he wrote on the US PlayStation Blog.

"We're going to try and give you something new to play with every week, and we've also got some major packs in development that should be on the store after Christmas."
Sounds like a canny way of keeping players playing the game. If you release just a little bit of content quite regularly, you've got a higher chance of keeping players hooked on the multiplayer once they've started playing it. Also, if players play online regularly, it means they're likely to be more willing to spring for additional DLC. The original MotorStorm got a lot of good online addons and I'm looking forward to seeing what Evolution Studios has in store for part two.
