Ghostbusters gets a release date

Ghostbusters__The_Video_Game_-_Atari_Live-Xbox_360__Wii__PC__PS2__DSScreenshots22433SS_Lair02.jpgAtari has announced that we can expect to see the Ghostbusters video game on the 16th of June in North America and on the 18th of June elsewhere. The title's penned by original writers Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis and will have all four of the original Ghostbusters returning to reprise their roles. It's developed by Terminal Reality, the people behind the patchy-but-fun Bloodrayne games.

Judging by what we've seen so far, Ghostbusters looks to have some pretty impressive production values. Especially with the original voice cast returning, this should hopefully feel like an authentic Ghostbusters experience. To be honest, if the plot's good enough, gamers might be willing to forgive unoriginal gameplay, as long as it's reasonably playable. Of course, having brilliant, innovative gameplay would be best of all.
