The Godfather II has been dated for release in the UK on the 6th of March. The thrid-person open-world title purports to let you both strategise and build your crew as a Don and get your hands dirty as a mobster. The game's being developed by EA's Redwood Shores studios, the people behind the surprisingly decent Dead Space.

I have to confess that the first game in the series passed me by, but it scored some solid - if not outstanding -reviews, nabbing a score of 75 on review aggregator Metacritic. EA's definitely up its game a notch recently, with a focus on higher quality games and new IPs. We've seen some impressive titles released, such as Mirror's Edge and Burnout Paradise, and I'm hoping that The Godfather II will fall into this camp.
